Isaac Richard

At 2.25 am on the 7th of October, our son Isaac was born!

It has been a fabulous and incredible experience... an incredible joy.

Since then, our little one is growing quickly and looking at the world with intensity.

He's in our lives for already 1 month and we couldn't imagine to live without him anymore :)

We feel extremely lucky to be the parents of this little boy.

Thank you Isaac ...

Hello! Hope you are well. I would like to leave you a little note before this place is getting even quieter.

As you could noticed, I was not posting a lot the last few months... and finally I feel now ready to let you know that we are expecting a little one for September :) :) We are over the moon, fascinated and a little bit anxious.... of course. 

This new adventure makes me also think about this little place I am running here, how free I feel about it, how genuine and honnest I am with my feelings and how much frustrated I am with the english writing.... 

For now, I would like just to thank you all the people passing here, giving me a bit of your time to visit my little world, for your encouraging and cheerful comments.

I will be still very happy to read you and stay in touch via email or comments.

I wish you the best for the future and Merci so much for what we shared here.

I couldn't resist to share the card I received from B. on my birthday... it's so us :) HAPPY!
So I'm leaving you there with that positive note for a little bit,  I don't really know for how long, just the time for me to concentrate on what I am doing at the moment, to look out of the frame and get some fresh air.

Letterpress Wedding Present.

I had an order to prepare today as a wedding present: a set of letterpress cards in an elegant box, personnalised with the initials of the bride ans the groom :)

A recipe for the weekend.

A recipe I brought back from California, I would never forget the fist Peach Cobbler I tasted there: a huge portion still warm, with vanilla ice cream melting on the top.... hummm... delicious....
I am doing one for the weekend, with apples too.
Have a relaxing time!

Ingredients:

Peach filling

1/2 cup sugar

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/2 tsp cinnamon

4 cups sliced fresh peeled peaches (about 6-8)

1 tsp. lemon juice

Biscuit Topping

1 cup flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3 tbsp butter

1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Blend 1/2 cup sugar and the cornstarch in medium saucepan.  Stir in peaches and lemon juice.  Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.  Boil and stir one minutes.  Pour into ungreased 2 quart casserole dish.  Keep fruit mixture hot in oven while preparing biscuit topping.

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into bowl.  Add butter and milk.  Cut through butter six times (the more you mix, the tougher the biscuit topping gets too tough).  Mix until dough forms a ball.  Drop dough by six spoonfuls onto hot pie filling.  Bake 25-30 minutes or until biscuit topping is golden brown.

6 servings.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a long walk in the countryside and finish in an old cosy pub with a nice fire on and a tasty lunch, my perfect winter day... have a warm weekend all of you there :)
