The Art Gallery.

Today I was at the town's Art Gallery, Nucleus. I joined it a couple weeks ago as a volunteer. I do Fridays with a great girl, a genius jewellery maker.
The Nucleus Art Center is a non profit organisation, a platform for the local artists and crafters to bring out their creations. The gallery shop is staffed exclusively by volunteers and most of them are artists. The exhibition is changing every 3 months, and who knows, perhaps I will have some paintings ready for the next one...

Here are some pieces of Siân Bostwick's art... so delicate, I absolutely love it...

and  I think these pretty butterflies would go perfectly with that song... un bijou

Amazing!

Paysage d'encre

Morning everybody! I would like to thank you all for the time you took to leave comments recently on my blog. Every time, I see someone stopped there and shared a bit with me, I still feel surprised and so grateful to see people around interested about what's happen in my little world. As you probably noticed, I rarely come back to you, most of the time is because I would like to write something else than an only  little "thank you", and then I think to much, the time is going and I feel that I missed the opportunity. So believe me, every comment is a pleasure for me. Sincerely, merci.

and up there a little piece of what I was working on yesterday.

BP Portrait Award 2011: the winner!

Yesterday, I went to the National Gallery Portrait to see the exhibition of the 50 paintings selected from the BP Portrait Award 2011. Unfortunately, it was not allowed to take pictures , I've just found out after I took a couple of the lady with the make up... so I can't show you my favourite one :(... So, here is following: the first picture is the winner 2011 and on the last picture on the left, it's the winner of 2007 (?) Paul Emsley, which I find fantastic. If you are around in the next couple month, it's a good exhibition to look at different techniques and expressive portraits. Some of them are absolutely stunning!!! I have to say that I do not really understand how the choice is made....

...

Because I love that song. Because I love complicated stories when I feel a bit down... Because I love the style of the characters there. Because I want to watch this film... have you seen it?

The Untitled Artists Fair 2011

Here are a few memories of my first art fair. A full experience, a great opening with arty people all around. The first evening was amazing how lively it was. It was 3 days when I could see "in live" how people were reacting in front of my work. When I could notice someone coming back two or three times to look again one of my paintings, it made me really happy, a pure honour, it was such a good feeling. It was also for me the occasion to share with the others artists, to discover new technics and a few tips...
So, can you find which painting I sold? the answer is on the picture ;)

And I would like to thank Samantha from "A glimpse of glamour" for her nice post about me :) merci sami.

A few days before.

A little view from yesterday, when the 170 artists started to set up they place...  I really enjoy this time of preparation before an event or a party: all that mess, it's just fun! Often, we hear some funny stories about it... but sorry, not this time, that part went quite "smoothly" for me... so will see after the weekend... I still had some bits to prepare today and the usual girly thing: What I am going to wear???

Getting ready.

A bit too late tonight... today was a great day. My little place at Chelsea Old Town Hall is finally ready for the Art Fair, I'm quite pleased with the way my work is displayed on such a small space. Hope the visitors will like it too :) The important thing is too be there and enjoy it, and I will! Bonne nuit....
